Management

IAQm is a pioneer and leader in providing indoor air quality risk management solutions to clients.
IAQm assists organizations in establishing an indoor air quality management system (IAQMS).

IAQMS

The IAQMS provides the opportunity to make plans ahead of time to reduce the likelihood that indoor air quality becomes an issue.
There are several approaches to managing indoor air quality depending on how much cost control and decision making control you want.

You can deal with IAQ issues as they arise. This is called the reactive or crisis management approach. This puts people’s health at risk and costs more in the long run.

You can put preventive measures into place, such as HVAC maintenance checklists, to reduce the likelihood that problems will arise.

But there is something better. It’s called a management system. This provides the most control over indoor air quality. The purpose of the IAQMS is to control people’s actions and decisions. It is about managing people rather than the technical issues surrounding indoor air quality.

It involves commitment at the top, making appropriate resources available, assigning responsibilities, policy, communication, education, documentation, and a means of assessing the system to continually make improvements.
