Marihuana Grow Operations

Illegal drug operations, such as marihuana grow operations and methamphetamine labs can compromise a property’s ability to provide habitable shelter for current and future occupants. When the property is seized, restoration can be extensive and expensive.

IAQm provides expertise in assessment and remediation of marihuana grow operations.

IAQm acts as a liaison between the Executive Officer of Alberta Health and the property owner.

In 2009 IAQm coauthored a report with Tang Lee (University of Calgary) titled “Recommendations for the Assessment and Remediation of Properties Used as Illegal Drug Operations.” Recommendations presented in this report may contribute to developing a consistent standard for assessing and remediating illegal drug operations in the province of Alberta.
